From the invisible to the visible world and back...

Hello everyone, in this blog I will write about ph-meter.

This instrument is utilized -as the name stand for- for to size the pH of the foods -in this case- since related with my career. Is one of the instruments more important in my carrear Food Engineering, because allows know the acidity of the foods and elaboration of these same, and are important for its conservation, as  generally by decreasing the value of pH of a product can be increase the period of conservation.

I choose the ph-meter, because is a incredible instrument for the industry alimentary in the field preservation and elaboration foods. I don't know exactly which changes could have this object to improve, mainly these serve for what I said earlier.

I meet the ph-meter in the class of General Chemistry Laboratory, we had that work with this instrument and size pH of some compounds.

In the human welfare have might a great impact since is a important method for detect if the aliment is sure eat, especially in the meats or vegetables or also in the milks or different dairy, to prevent diseases.

Some the advantages that has are digital, it's more precise than indicator paper when the pH reading is made, and gives exact measurement. And the disadvantages are that has a very sensitive electrod, the pH meter is a long-term investment for gaining accurate results and it needs to be cleaned regularly to avoid contamination.

My parents are the persons that more I admire, but principally I will write about my mother.

Alejandra Marcela Valdés is her name, she born in the year 1968, is the older sister of three siblings.  She married in year 94' with a incredible man, my father Octavio. She had four children, my siblings Constanza and Octavio that are twin, I and my younger brother Felipe. Here started all...

My mother studed a professional career with much effort, but when received notice of her pregnancy and that they were two, all change. My parents were very happy and my mother not doubts in leave it all for to raise their children. That has been his true vocation. 

After a few years that passed, my mother could not work in what studied, because did not have laboral experience, and that has worried her.

We do not have a good economic situation, my father work, but with three children studing in the university and one in the school already ending is complicated. My mother has had jobs, where the job situation has been difficult and has not been very well, but despite everything, it gives us to understand that everything is fine and continues to give us all his love.

I admire her, because she is a super woman, dedicated one hundred percent to her family, brave, hardworking, dreamy a incredible woman, and among many other great things. 

The most enjoyable subject ...

For me one of the subject more enjoyable has been General Chemistry Laboratory, because in classes we worked with many chemical compounds, analysing their reactions, calculated their pH, the heat that was released by the same reactions particularly, in general we create many crystal and among other things. I liked very this subject, because always it caught my attention work in a laboratory as if it were a crazy scientist, blend different chemical compounds and to watch how wonderful of reactions.

In itself, General Chemistry Laboratory is a practical subject, since theoretical subject is General Chemistry Two that is the complement.

With the naked eye, I think that this subject is interesting because is a class more dynamic for all student, where I can appreciate what really happens with what is studied in the theoretical class.

In the laboratory, we work student and teacher that teach us, but also for everything to work fine, lab technician and assistant work, who help us solve doubts of the practitioner.

The team of teachers, assistants and lab technicians are important because are organized for work properly and teach us in the best way.

The subject is important, because is part of the fundamental basis of chemistry. Approximately we were more of one hundred student, I believe, jaja really I don't know.

Eventually, some of the main contents that we saw were: reactions velocity, constant of solubility, acidity, basicity, thermodynamics and among others contents.

My Favourite Book and Film

I not would know say the things that are favourites for me, since never I have felt that sensation by something, but I will write about one of the books and films that I liked the most or called my attention.
"A Thousand Splendid Suns" from Khaled Hosseini, it was a book that marked me quite when I read it in the year 2014. I liked, because it's about many important topics that have occurred and are still occurring today in Afghanistan. The author, writes about abuse of woman mainly, the civil war in that country and war between countries, harassment, fear, distress and love. I recommended it, because is a book full emotions, with a good description of characters and events that when reading one suffers with the characters, also because leaves a feeling of emptiness or at least in my case.

Well, "The pursuit of happiness" from Gabriele Muccino inspired by the real history of Chris Gardner, is a movie that moves to all the viewers. The principal actors are Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith, that leave us a great teaching about life. I do not remember when I saw this movie, but I liked for the difficult history and exciting that living this father for look after to his son, since the mother abandoned them by economics problems. He does everything for to have a better job and finish his study, to give his son a better life.
I recommend this film, because is a movie that -as I said before- it leaves us a great teaching about life, that never we must not give up no matter the coming up problems in our way, and also, because it makes us reflect and appreciate what we have.

A Photograph You Like

Well, when I was a little girl I remember that I played many with my siblings, cousins and friends. I had a great time!! and I have many many photographs show the meaningfulness in my life, so that I have many options to choose. I lived near my grandparents, always we were visiting and when my parents worked, I and my siblings we were staying with them.
I remember that my grandfather always took me in bicycle to my kindergarter, every the morning, at the right time.
This photograph it was taken for my mother in the year 2001 approximately.
My mother -as many mothers in the world- feel the cold a thousand time more that others people, and this photo shows how my mother me abrigaba en winter. I looked as a ballon! jaja. This photograph, I really like,because it reminds me of my grandfather and all he has done for me and my family. 

The second photo, also I like very much because in the year 2003 my aunt was the one who took the first photo with my family, they are few moments in that my family from my mother side this totally gathered. 
In the Christmas the last year, we gather all to celebrate and wanted recreate that photo was very important for me.
I love to see my gathered family and meaningfulness happy times in the photographs.
Photography is a medium which serves to remember and show the history, of a person or place to the passage of the years; so it's not forgotten some important fact and this can remain with the time.

Music in My Life

The music is somethings that it makes us feel in other planet or in the space, it makes us to forget of all that it happens around our us, among other wonderful things more.

I like many kinds of music, but less the metal rock, heavy metal and everything that has to do with metal jaja

What I like most is listening to pop, electronics and reggaeton.

The instruments that more I like are guitar, battery and electronic keyboard, but the instrument I love playing is battery. 

When I was a little girl, with my family we participate in the church choir, we sing and play different instruments as a flute, drum, tambourin, guitar, and others. 

I don't have favoritism by anythings and it's a problem for me, as a it's hard to choose that is which is what I like most of all. 

The singers that I like are Sia, Alessia Cara, Maluma, Beyonce, Skrillex, Ed Sheeran and others.

I used to listen to Rap, which I no longer listen to much now, but same I like it.

I remember songs the children's movies, how tipics of  Disney, for examples "A dream is a wish your heart makes" from Cinderella, "Under the sea" from The Little Mermaid, and others songs of movies.

My opinions in differents topics

What is your opinion about smart phones?

I like smart phones, they have many functions that make it to be incredible and needed to comunicate, enjoy, relax listening to music, among other things. 

What is your opinion about women in the military?

In my opinion women have the same right to do the same as men, provided they can do so, because it is true that there are jobs difficult and heavy for a woman, but it must always be the opportunuty to include them. We are different by nature, and in the case of the army men, women can contribute and help with them for the rest of the group (men).

What is your opinion about the Chilean politicians?

They honestly dislike me, for the simple fact of their own minimum wage asjustments to sustain with the basics -the just and necesary- that everyone needs. I am sad they have to go to live. :'c

What is your opinion about violence on television?

I dislike this theme, because television is a mass medium in which everyone has access, from children to older adults, and teachings that are leaving -both positive and negative, and in this case the violence- others are learning them and put them into practice.

What is your opinion about fortune telling?

I don't believe in fortune telling, because oneself builds his own future and of all falls that one may have, choose continue or stay there itself.

I prefer of success.

What is your opinion about soap operas on Chilean TV?

I think it is a good option of entertainment for people, especially for the housewife or the older women.

Soap operas on Chilean TV have great actors who do their work with passion, but it is also worth mentioning that not like everyone.

What is your opinion about legalizing marijuana?

I'm not sure of this, but by the side of the natural medicine is a good option to alleviate many pain, and in terms of personal consumption is an option to relax, have fun and enjoy.

The legalization of marijuana would be good if people do so responsibly, and not exposed to very young children until scientifically prove that it is good for all.

What is your opinion about climate change?

Without a doubt climate change is harm caused by all people of the world, who do not worry about the space where they live all. Little by little the world is being destroyed, many animals lose their habitat and nature that gives us the basics for living, decreases quickly.

Must put our commitment to continue polluting, not chopping down tress, not allow the nature and all living in a healthy world.

What is your opinion about cloning?

In my opinion the clone is an incredible scientific discovery, while basically all scientific experiments are under testing of animals -and I am not saying that I am in favour of the damage to these-, they are for great purposes. Cloning could save the life many people if practiced on the damaged organs they need and and depend on a donor.

What is your opinion about recycling?

I strongly believe that it is a good way to not continue harming the world. For me it is an entertaining method to make crafts, because I think that I can recycle to be able to turn it into a gift or give it another use as well.

  

What is your opinion about "barras bravas"?

In my opinion the "barras bravas" are very passionate about the team you support, help ancourage players, give them the power to give everything on the pitch and the unconditional support against the results that have.

On what I disagree is when they are literally fierces, destroys whatever is in its path and fighting against fans of the opposing team. 

What is your opinion about legalizing abortion in some cases?

Believe that this rather than legalize it in all three cases, because a woman has the right to decide about their own bodies and if they have that they do not want to be mothers, who do not want to give your child a bad life, they can save the life.
