Changes To My Study Programme

On this occasion, I will write about the "changes in my study program". 

Well, in all these years in which I prepared the base of my knowledge, the community or the student society has fought for change and a better education, allows all people to have the law to study somewhere in the country. For many years ... it has been constantly fought.

I am studying food engineering at the University of Chile, in which I have subjects in Chemistry, Laboratories, Mathematics, Biology, English, among others, and I really like my career as well as some branches that I have, but I would change my curriculum. My career lasts six years, which in my opinion is a long time and the first two years are only leveling of the subjects of the school, but of course a little more difficult. Equal leveling is important so that each student can have the same base for the branches that are closest to degree, but should focus on more branches of degree, because that way everyone realizes how much degree really is.

Continuing, buildings and infrastructure are not enough for all students, sometimes it is really difficult to find a place to eat or study. I like the faculty, it's very cozy, I like trees and the ricoffee, even if it's a small place, I like my faculty but I prefer that it has more green areas and that it improves the infrastructure in terms of the number of students in the faculty, because in winter spaces collapse to protect themselves from the cold or rain because spaces are not enough.

Technology helps us a lot to look for information that we do not know in papers or reports and the methods of each teacher makes the difference to learn better and motivate us more in the subject.

English Language Challenges

In this post I will write about of English Language Challenges.

Learn English it is something that I like lot, but always it has been hard to me learn this language.

In the university, I started with class of english in level two and the experience of learning English has been good, but a bit frustrating. I mean, stay to class of english in the afternoon after a tiring day, it was a bit tedious -for example, when I went in english 3, my class finished to 7.20 pm :c - but I was served to improve and practice more this language. 

Blogs have helped me to improve a little more, to learn more words that I did not know when the teacher or a classmate helps me and also to pronounce them.

In itself, I need to improve my confidence in speaking English with another person, because I feel insecure about myself when I'm with another person that I know knows or manages English better. Also, I need to improve my hearing with respect to this language, because that is what makes it much more difficult for me to learn vocabulary and pronounce words.

To improve this, I need to practice much more in everything related to English, hopefully every day, in terms of my confidence, auditory development, learn more vocabulary and pronunciation.

English I try to use it regularly, usually with songs, but also when I want to write a text some of the phrases I always prefer to write them in English. Also, when my friends sing in this language or say something, I listen to them and ask them when I do not understand something of what they said.

Summer Holidays

Hi!

In this post I will write about my summer holidays.

Summer is finally coming and we can feel in these days with the high temperatures lurking in this week of October. Only a few months lefts for that coming the full summer.
This year we will finish the semester in December, and we can enjoy more holidays than last year 😄.
For this summer holidays, I will be able to travel the last week of December, since I will do a first practice in January and also possibly in February. My neighbor is boss of laboratory in the company that work and she offered me to do my first practice in a Laboratory of microbiological analysis, then it made an impression on me and a little fear to what I will face, but of course I accepted.
I would like travel to other countries how Argentina, or Colombia, or Brasil, for example, but for this time we don't can think in travel for much time, because my mother need weekly chemotherapy and in this moments mi mom is one of my priorities.
In December, how all years and in all households, we celebrate Christmas and I would like travel to the city of Talca for share these days with my family for part of my mom and of course play "Secret Santa", that is very very funny, because we play with dynamics and imitations.
During my summer holidays in itself, I would like play paintball with my family and friends, know some of natural wonders of Chile, have days of camping, swim in the hot days and among others things to do on my summer holidays.

Post Graduate Studies

In this blog I will write about of my post graduate studies.
Today is so so important to have post graduate studies, because it can help you to learn more about your career  and also get good jobs in excellent companies.

Well, the reasons for choose a post graduate studies is simply becouse I want to specialise in something of my carreer for open more oportunity in tha laboral camp. Between my options -for the moment- I prefer study a Master in food, mention management, quality and food safety, more to future I would like to carry out an investigation under a Ph.D.Programme, in the area of "Nutrition and micronutients" or "Technological innovation and foods" or "product formulation and development".

I would like study in abroad, for example in Europe like Spain, or United State, or in someone other place of world, but it all depends on what happens in the future, princy of my life in these moment.
I prefer stay present in the place that correspond of my study, but if it is not possible I prefer part-time courses, so I can work during the year.
All my decisions can change in 4 year more, or maybe not... that will be known later, I still have time to decide and open my mind to choose other options about my career.

Your Future Job

In this post I will write about my future job.
I think that or I would like to work in a food lab. I imagine creating new foods of the less invasive form, that are as effective as posibble and most effective possible and very nutritious to achieve the best function of our body, in itself, this is a one of my objectives that I would like realise to future.

Working in a lab is something that goes against my will, because I always wanted have a job outdoor in contact with many people, but in the school I realized that I was struck the chemistry, all the compounds and that. So in my options I chose this career Food Engineering, because my neighbour guided me and for work in a lab, create foods that are really good for the people and have a team for that we can achieve it.

I really like travel a lot, know many countries and acquire important knowledge in relation to my career, but I want reach my goal objective that is have a family. I don´t have a time-consuming job.

Of course that for realised all I want is necessary a good budget, so that I need a good salary, and I hope to achieve it.

Exist different options of major in my career as a Master in food, mention management, quality and food safety and Master in Food Science, but I don't sure which one to choose, because I prefer to wait the subjects of career to be able to decide all that.

I want to focus my knowledge on creating a very nutritious food that helps people with low economic resources, thus reducing the lack of food globally.

The best Holidays

Hi everyone!✌👽

My best holidays was in the summer of the year 2013. My siblings older for the Catholic church community had to travel of missionaries to South of our country and my parents decided that we also travel before that my siblings start the university and have other times.

I traveled with my parents and my younger brother first for find us there with my older siblings. 

We traveled for two weeks around of Puerto Montt, Puerto Varas, Llanquihue, Angelmó, Chiloé, Frutillar and Petrohué.

I loved the lake Llanquihue, is of crystalline and warm waters, totally calm where we could swim and enjoy the moment. As an activity, we are dedicated to know much of the sector, we visited craft fairs, we crossed to Chiloé by ferry, we met a lot of friendly, good and very nice people.

This holidays has been the best, because we could know other part of the south of our country Chile, we enjoyed as a family, and we saw really amazing things.

Old and New Hobbies

Hi everything 🙋!
In this post I will write about of hobbies in my life.
Now, one of my favourites hobbies is sleep 😄 jaja ok no, but in my free time is watch the movies or series, really i love it to be lying down in my bed watching something of these, or also in other place with my family or my boyfriend or my friends, saint Netflix. All my life I liked do crafts different  and I consider my favourite hobby, usually when my mother have a dessert request, I help with the poster of each kind of dessert, or when someone is birthday, or specially to my boyfriend when are we of anniversary. This hobby relaxed me really very much.
All this hobbies are important for me, because they marked my life and are a part of me.

When were I little girl, I liked much letter paper collection, my younger aunt Carolina gave me all weeks, and I kept them in a simple box decorated. I remember that I had approximately one hundred letter paper of different sizes.

I don't know what hobbie never would have, but at least I will continue with the crafts, because really I love it, it relaxes me, and it allows me to be myself.

The heart

Hello everyone.

In this topic I write about the heart, that for me is amazing, since it is a fundamental part for own life of all animals and humans.

The heart is the muscle that works the most in the human body.

The cardiovascular system are compound by heart and blood vessels, is the responsible of keep in movement blood by the body of unidirectional form, carrying oxygenated blood through of arteries to all body tissues that absorb nutrients and keep going by the veins that carrying blood back to heart.

The heart is located in the chest by the lower mediastinum tending a little to the left side. Has an approximate size to a fist, but depend if men or women are.

The heart diseases that alter its normal functioning may be for example, Cardio attack, Cardiac amyloidosis, myocardial infarction, Arrhythmias, Cardiomyopathies, and among many others.

For keep the heart healthy is necessary have a balance diet and the most important to do cardio exercises for make working the muscle of heart.

Is important keep our heart strong and healthy, since compromises most of our body if failure.

A Country You Would Like To Visit

Hello everyone! I hope they are fine 

Well, the country that I would like visit is France, because is the place typically of the romantic movies as well as in animated films or movies in the real life.

The capital of France is Paris, have a lot big wonderful how Eiffel Tower, Sainte Chapelle, Notre Dame Cathedral, Arch of Triumph of París, Versailles Palace, and among other things. The official idioms is French, Ratatouille is one of typically foods that know for the movie having the same name.

I would like to visit for touristic attraction in special Eiffel Tower, because it surprises me all the light that have in the big structure metallic and also I would visit Notre Dame Cathedral it is silly in what I think, but me remember my infancy with my siblings watch movie The Hunchback of Notre Dame and all promise go to place and look the bells that handle the hunchback and tolls them.

I don't know if I want live or work there, but I would like study exchange for one semester maybe. The time decide all, maybe in some years more change of opinion and think live in this country that consider beautiful.

Your blogging experience

Today I will write about my experience writing blogs.

Class to class all thursdays we had to write a blogs of any things each week, but in general this experience served me for to get better -in a way- my english.

Personally, I believe that if I developed a little more my writing skills, but lack me much more since always it became difficult for me to learn english.

Blogs are a means that served me to write everything I felt, to relax and think only in writing -in nothing more-. 

In the future, we might have a moment for talck more about blogs so that at the same time we practices the oral conversation, in my opinion.

I don't know really that we might write, they are many themes jaja but maybe could be about student movement, or what is your biggest dream, or about travels, summer or winter holidays, among other topics.

For me has been good experience, I had opportunity of read many blogs of my classmates and my teacher Claudio Telha, there were themes that I liked and others that I did not, but well it is part of learning of all of us.

From the invisible to the visible world and back...

Hello everyone, in this blog I will write about ph-meter.

This instrument is utilized -as the name stand for- for to size the pH of the foods -in this case- since related with my career. Is one of the instruments more important in my carrear Food Engineering, because allows know the acidity of the foods and elaboration of these same, and are important for its conservation, as  generally by decreasing the value of pH of a product can be increase the period of conservation.

I choose the ph-meter, because is a incredible instrument for the industry alimentary in the field preservation and elaboration foods. I don't know exactly which changes could have this object to improve, mainly these serve for what I said earlier.

I meet the ph-meter in the class of General Chemistry Laboratory, we had that work with this instrument and size pH of some compounds.

In the human welfare have might a great impact since is a important method for detect if the aliment is sure eat, especially in the meats or vegetables or also in the milks or different dairy, to prevent diseases.

Some the advantages that has are digital, it's more precise than indicator paper when the pH reading is made, and gives exact measurement. And the disadvantages are that has a very sensitive electrod, the pH meter is a long-term investment for gaining accurate results and it needs to be cleaned regularly to avoid contamination.

My parents are the persons that more I admire, but principally I will write about my mother.

Alejandra Marcela Valdés is her name, she born in the year 1968, is the older sister of three siblings.  She married in year 94' with a incredible man, my father Octavio. She had four children, my siblings Constanza and Octavio that are twin, I and my younger brother Felipe. Here started all...

My mother studed a professional career with much effort, but when received notice of her pregnancy and that they were two, all change. My parents were very happy and my mother not doubts in leave it all for to raise their children. That has been his true vocation. 

After a few years that passed, my mother could not work in what studied, because did not have laboral experience, and that has worried her.

We do not have a good economic situation, my father work, but with three children studing in the university and one in the school already ending is complicated. My mother has had jobs, where the job situation has been difficult and has not been very well, but despite everything, it gives us to understand that everything is fine and continues to give us all his love.

I admire her, because she is a super woman, dedicated one hundred percent to her family, brave, hardworking, dreamy a incredible woman, and among many other great things. 

The most enjoyable subject ...

For me one of the subject more enjoyable has been General Chemistry Laboratory, because in classes we worked with many chemical compounds, analysing their reactions, calculated their pH, the heat that was released by the same reactions particularly, in general we create many crystal and among other things. I liked very this subject, because always it caught my attention work in a laboratory as if it were a crazy scientist, blend different chemical compounds and to watch how wonderful of reactions.

In itself, General Chemistry Laboratory is a practical subject, since theoretical subject is General Chemistry Two that is the complement.

With the naked eye, I think that this subject is interesting because is a class more dynamic for all student, where I can appreciate what really happens with what is studied in the theoretical class.

In the laboratory, we work student and teacher that teach us, but also for everything to work fine, lab technician and assistant work, who help us solve doubts of the practitioner.

The team of teachers, assistants and lab technicians are important because are organized for work properly and teach us in the best way.

The subject is important, because is part of the fundamental basis of chemistry. Approximately we were more of one hundred student, I believe, jaja really I don't know.

Eventually, some of the main contents that we saw were: reactions velocity, constant of solubility, acidity, basicity, thermodynamics and among others contents.

My Favourite Book and Film

I not would know say the things that are favourites for me, since never I have felt that sensation by something, but I will write about one of the books and films that I liked the most or called my attention.
"A Thousand Splendid Suns" from Khaled Hosseini, it was a book that marked me quite when I read it in the year 2014. I liked, because it's about many important topics that have occurred and are still occurring today in Afghanistan. The author, writes about abuse of woman mainly, the civil war in that country and war between countries, harassment, fear, distress and love. I recommended it, because is a book full emotions, with a good description of characters and events that when reading one suffers with the characters, also because leaves a feeling of emptiness or at least in my case.

Well, "The pursuit of happiness" from Gabriele Muccino inspired by the real history of Chris Gardner, is a movie that moves to all the viewers. The principal actors are Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith, that leave us a great teaching about life. I do not remember when I saw this movie, but I liked for the difficult history and exciting that living this father for look after to his son, since the mother abandoned them by economics problems. He does everything for to have a better job and finish his study, to give his son a better life.
I recommend this film, because is a movie that -as I said before- it leaves us a great teaching about life, that never we must not give up no matter the coming up problems in our way, and also, because it makes us reflect and appreciate what we have.

A Photograph You Like

Well, when I was a little girl I remember that I played many with my siblings, cousins and friends. I had a great time!! and I have many many photographs show the meaningfulness in my life, so that I have many options to choose. I lived near my grandparents, always we were visiting and when my parents worked, I and my siblings we were staying with them.
I remember that my grandfather always took me in bicycle to my kindergarter, every the morning, at the right time.
This photograph it was taken for my mother in the year 2001 approximately.
My mother -as many mothers in the world- feel the cold a thousand time more that others people, and this photo shows how my mother me abrigaba en winter. I looked as a ballon! jaja. This photograph, I really like,because it reminds me of my grandfather and all he has done for me and my family. 

The second photo, also I like very much because in the year 2003 my aunt was the one who took the first photo with my family, they are few moments in that my family from my mother side this totally gathered. 
In the Christmas the last year, we gather all to celebrate and wanted recreate that photo was very important for me.
I love to see my gathered family and meaningfulness happy times in the photographs.
Photography is a medium which serves to remember and show the history, of a person or place to the passage of the years; so it's not forgotten some important fact and this can remain with the time.

Music in My Life

The music is somethings that it makes us feel in other planet or in the space, it makes us to forget of all that it happens around our us, among other wonderful things more.

I like many kinds of music, but less the metal rock, heavy metal and everything that has to do with metal jaja

What I like most is listening to pop, electronics and reggaeton.

The instruments that more I like are guitar, battery and electronic keyboard, but the instrument I love playing is battery. 

When I was a little girl, with my family we participate in the church choir, we sing and play different instruments as a flute, drum, tambourin, guitar, and others. 

I don't have favoritism by anythings and it's a problem for me, as a it's hard to choose that is which is what I like most of all. 

The singers that I like are Sia, Alessia Cara, Maluma, Beyonce, Skrillex, Ed Sheeran and others.

I used to listen to Rap, which I no longer listen to much now, but same I like it.

I remember songs the children's movies, how tipics of  Disney, for examples "A dream is a wish your heart makes" from Cinderella, "Under the sea" from The Little Mermaid, and others songs of movies.

My opinions in differents topics

What is your opinion about smart phones?

I like smart phones, they have many functions that make it to be incredible and needed to comunicate, enjoy, relax listening to music, among other things. 

What is your opinion about women in the military?

In my opinion women have the same right to do the same as men, provided they can do so, because it is true that there are jobs difficult and heavy for a woman, but it must always be the opportunuty to include them. We are different by nature, and in the case of the army men, women can contribute and help with them for the rest of the group (men).

What is your opinion about the Chilean politicians?

They honestly dislike me, for the simple fact of their own minimum wage asjustments to sustain with the basics -the just and necesary- that everyone needs. I am sad they have to go to live. :'c

What is your opinion about violence on television?

I dislike this theme, because television is a mass medium in which everyone has access, from children to older adults, and teachings that are leaving -both positive and negative, and in this case the violence- others are learning them and put them into practice.

What is your opinion about fortune telling?

I don't believe in fortune telling, because oneself builds his own future and of all falls that one may have, choose continue or stay there itself.

I prefer of success.

What is your opinion about soap operas on Chilean TV?

I think it is a good option of entertainment for people, especially for the housewife or the older women.

Soap operas on Chilean TV have great actors who do their work with passion, but it is also worth mentioning that not like everyone.

What is your opinion about legalizing marijuana?

I'm not sure of this, but by the side of the natural medicine is a good option to alleviate many pain, and in terms of personal consumption is an option to relax, have fun and enjoy.

The legalization of marijuana would be good if people do so responsibly, and not exposed to very young children until scientifically prove that it is good for all.

What is your opinion about climate change?

Without a doubt climate change is harm caused by all people of the world, who do not worry about the space where they live all. Little by little the world is being destroyed, many animals lose their habitat and nature that gives us the basics for living, decreases quickly.

Must put our commitment to continue polluting, not chopping down tress, not allow the nature and all living in a healthy world.

What is your opinion about cloning?

In my opinion the clone is an incredible scientific discovery, while basically all scientific experiments are under testing of animals -and I am not saying that I am in favour of the damage to these-, they are for great purposes. Cloning could save the life many people if practiced on the damaged organs they need and and depend on a donor.

What is your opinion about recycling?

I strongly believe that it is a good way to not continue harming the world. For me it is an entertaining method to make crafts, because I think that I can recycle to be able to turn it into a gift or give it another use as well.

  

What is your opinion about "barras bravas"?

In my opinion the "barras bravas" are very passionate about the team you support, help ancourage players, give them the power to give everything on the pitch and the unconditional support against the results that have.

On what I disagree is when they are literally fierces, destroys whatever is in its path and fighting against fans of the opposing team. 

What is your opinion about legalizing abortion in some cases?

Believe that this rather than legalize it in all three cases, because a woman has the right to decide about their own bodies and if they have that they do not want to be mothers, who do not want to give your child a bad life, they can save the life.

Your favourite piece of technology

As it says the title, I will write about my favorite piece of technology.
Commonly today most people revolve around to cellphone, they look like zombies, and yes, my favorite device of technology is this same.
When I was a child, I really enjoyed playing with my friends or classmates all day, until they began to viralize cellphones.
All my friends had cell phones except me, and when I was entering the 5th basic my father decided to give me one.
My only goal was that it had bluetooth to listen to music and play / - \
I lasted three years with my first cellphone, and when I had my second a man stole it to me soon afterward : '(
In high school I had the phone that has served me to this day.
I use Whatsapp frequently that is an addiction for me, because I talk to my family, my boyfriend, friends and new people the greater part of the day.
The cellphone is a fundamental piece in society, because it allows us to communicate mainly with people anywhere. I like by the functions varied that have how to send photos, videos, message, call people, download different applications or the more important the connectivity to the internet for do what previously mentioned etc.
I don't consider myself a person addicted totally to the phone or I look a like a zombie with him, because one of the things I hate is when face to face comunication is lost with other people by being with the cellphone all the time. I prefer always to speak, communicate face to face and pay attention of what they tell me also.
If the phone didn't exist, would not be lost parte fundamental of comunication mentioned above, but if you lose the easy access to many things on a single device.

Why did you study your career?

Hi!!!
Well, I don't want to be boring, but I will tell you about of my career.
When I were a little girl want study a veterinary career. Yes, it's the tipic desicion generally of the childs, but I liked, i liked take care of the animals and that were be happy for the life.
The years passed and my likes -as all people- changed.
In the high school i liked very much the chemistry, maths and biology, and for this reason I wanted choose a career that had some of these subject-matters. I decided study Odontology in the moment of applying to university. I chose this career because always i liked it to help and take care of people in what more I can. That's why when be with my title in my hands I wish I could to go to the rural sectors where there are not so many doctor in general and help to people with lower income.
However, I decided finally study the career Food Engineering, because I realized that Odontology it's not my thing and also is quite expensive. 
With this career I want achieve the same purpose, but with foods.
My experience at the university until now has been very good, I have met many good people and as well to teachers. In relation to study, It has become difficult for me and have had moment of frustation where the only thing I want is to go me.
My dreams until moment is have a job of lab, invent new foods that be good for people, but not a office job.
Now I look forward to know how the future will be.

Getting to know each other...

For you that these reading my blog hellooooo.

My name is María Fernanda and have three siblings. My sister and brother are twins and two years older that I and my other brother is three years younger. My father has eight siblings and my mother have three, so that my family in general is very very big.

My sister study Kinesiology in the Catholic University of Maule, but this year will carry out her practice in Santiago. My older brother study Industrial Civil Engineering in Curicó city in the University of Talca and my younger brother is in his last year of school.

I live in Cerrillos with my parents, siblings and my three dogs, Luna, Black and Black Junior -not is very creative the name-. I study Food Engineering and has been a career that I liked during these two years. Some of the things that I like to do are enjoy with persons that I want and be happy.

Well, this is a little part of my and here I end.
